Mudras, what are they and how they can help!
Mudras are hand gestures used to evoke physical, psychological and spiritual states or attitudes of change. Mudra means gesture, seal or signature and has been used throughout history by many cultures and religions. You have probably used mudras many times in your life but didn’t use the sanskrit term. A symbol of prayer putting your two hands together at your heart is “Anjali Mudra”, a gesture of reverance for invoking Divine union. Or if you have ever sat to meditate you will put your hands on your knees upward facing with the tips of your index and thumb together creating a circle. This invokes clear seeing with the mudra for higher knowledge known as “Jnana Mudra.”
I’m sharing this to bring about the importance of awareness to our body and how we can empower our selves with the knowledge of how we can actively participate in our own evolution and health.
On October 8th we will have a Live Zoom Event Introducing the importance of Mudras and how through the awareness of how they work with the subtle energies of the body, they can bring needed changes for you. In this event we will focus on mudras for balancing the 5 elements within our body and the foundation of Ayurvedic Medicine. The 5 elements correspond to the 5 fingers: Fire-Thumb, Air-Index, Space-Middle, Earth-Ring, and Water-Little finger.
